After majoring in math and having a brief stint as a professional poker player, I had a quarter-life crisis and realized that what I truly love is talking to people about their feelings. For my friends and family, I was always the person they went to for support and advice, and I relished being able to listen, help them open up, and successfully navigate their issues.

It became clear that I wanted a career in the helping professions, so I enrolled in life coaching school and eventually completed a master’s in psychology, along with certificates in leadership, trauma, and sex education, and extensive training in couples work. I also started my own private coaching practice, supporting thousands of individuals and couples over the last 13 years.

Throughout my life, I’ve been continually drawn to romantic relationships—an interest that began as a child of divorce and strengthened when I fell madly in love at age 11 and experienced all the immense ups and downs. As I grew older, a strange paradox became clear: while romantic relationships are among the top three most important things to almost everyone, many people seem to be unhappy in them. I’m driven to help people prevent this suffering and empower them to make their romantic lives more fulfilling.

And I try every day to practice what I preach! I’ve been with my wife, Liz, for 12 years. We have two boys (August, 7, and Levon, 5) and a puppy (Luna). There have been some really tough periods—the first year with two kids is no joke—but I can sincerely say that we love our relationship. While we’re far from a perfect love story, we’ve done hundreds of hours of therapy and continually put in the work to be the best people and partners we can be.

When I’m not studying a new model of coaching, therapy, or growth; dreaming up new courses, books, films, and art projects that could help more people; or obsessing over communication best practices and the meaning of life, you’re likely to find me getting tattooed, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or at my (somewhat embarrassing) happy place: the golf course.

"In every way, Aaron has changed my life.

I trust myself more, I feel safer and more comfortable in my decisions, and I don’t have nearly the same level of anxiety that I used to. Aaron has helped me feel at home within myself. He’s extremely compassionate, a massive empath, and he genuinely cares."

Jeanette, Doula & Student

"Aaron is one of the wisest, most compassionate and loving people we have ever met.

We had reached out to Aaron when the two of us had come to, what felt like, a bit of a dead end in our relationship; although we both had the desire to keep trying, neither of us knew what to do anymore. Now, we have never been so happy, we have reached a point in our relationship that we never thought we would."
